Diane Marie Bryne was born on April 8, 1939, in Des Moines Iowa to Earle and Hazel Brown. She moved to Ames from Cambridge in 1944 when she was six years old. She attended Roosevelt Elementary followed by Ames Junior High School. She then attended and graduated from Ames Senior High School in 1957. She attended Iowa State College in Ames Iowa graduating in 1961. Diane loved learning and was a life long learner continuing her education even into retirment with involvement in OLLI at Iowa State University.

Diane was a true lover of life, she enjoyed traveling the world from her home of 70+ years. She also dearly loved people and spent much of her time volunteering, hosting friends, and enjoying live music.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Roger. Diane is survived by two children; Benjamin (Shelli) of Ames, Eva (Thomas) of Arizona and six grandchildren, Derek John, Maxwell, Remington, Chastity, Hope and Preston Owen
